Thieves around again

Hi I'm Gwen from 14 Christchurch. Just a warning, as in the early hours of saturday morning thieves came over my back wall and stole my bike! Must have been very quiet and very quick as neither us nor the dogs heard a thing - they seem to have made off down Vicars Close and through the square as I found a small part, which had come off the back basket, at the Vicars Close entrance to the Square. Guess they have ditched the basket as my bike lock was fastened to it and was very heavy - I know should have used the lock to secure the bike!

Sorry to hear about your bike. I live in Vicars Close and my bike was stolen from our back garden about 18 months ago. It's really sad that bikes are not safe left unlocked in gardens.
